ChatGPT and AI Literacy: How Can I Use ChatGPT in Engineering Research?
Artificial intelligence is changing the way higher education is approaching research, writing, and teaching. This workshop will address the capabilities of ChatGPT and identify appropriate and effective ways participants can integrate this tool into their academic, research, and pedagogical pursuits in engineering disciplines. We’ll also discuss the limitations of ChatGPT, including ethical and legal contexts, and highlighting the ways in which you can use University Library resources and other language learning model (LLM) tools instead. Through a series of activities, we’ll explore how to write constructive prompts and critically analyze generated responses. We invite students, faculty, staff, community members, and anyone else interested in learning more about ChatGPT to join us for this informative workshop.
NOTE: Due to unforseen circumstances, this workshop was rescheduled from 2/1. We apologize for the inconvenience.
