The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) defines reference, consultation or other information services to individuals as “Information contacts that involve the knowledge, use, recommendations, interpretation, or instruction in the use of one or more resources by a member of the library staff.” This session will introduce data sources (e.g. LibInsight, LibAnswers) and budget-friendly  and lightweight methods that can be used to assess reference, consultation and other information services to individuals.
