Fat Bear Week 2025
Fat Bear Week is an annual tournament celebrating the bears of Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alaska success in preparation for winter hibernation.
The Funk library is our own hosting a bracket to celebrate. This will be a single elimination tournament style bracket running September 23rd- 30th For each match-up, you vote for the bear you believe best exemplifies fatness. The bear with the most votes advances to the next round. Only one will be crowned champion of Fat Bear Week on Fat Bear Tuesday, where the official winner is announced.
The library will also have a book display, coloring pages, fan art contest and more!
