Developing A Library Network in Mayotte - a discussion lead by Visting Schoar Clotilde Lambert - Main Library Room 106

Dear Colleagues,

The University Library is hosting Clotilde Lambert. She is a student at the National School for Library and Information Sciences in France (Ecole nationale supérieure des sciences de l’information et des bibliothèques - https://www.enssib.fr/ ) This six-week internship is tied to an assessment project. Clotilde will be speaking about her experience in Mayotte. I hope you can join us!

Abstract: Mayotte is a polyglot island that is part of the Comoros archipelago near Mozambique. It is home to more than 300,000 inhabitants. In 2015 the Regional Agency for Books was founded to develop a library network and to promote children’s literature all over the island. Clotilde Lambert will discuss the challenges of developing a library network and services in a complex cultural, social, and linguistic environment.
