Legal Research Basics

In many academic disciplines, researchers come across the need to look up laws and understand legal theories. This workshop will address how to best find federal and state court decisions, statutes, regulations, and to consult sources analyzing, explaining, and interpreting various areas of law. Participants will understand which online and print sources, available at Illinois, are the most relevant and authoritative given a particular legal information need.
